Scott Schomburg is a writer based in New York City. His work has appeared in The New York Times, The Paris Review, Southern Cultures, and elsewhere. He is the recipient of a writing fellowship from the Virginia Center for the Creative Arts, and he holds a Master of Divinity from Duke Divinity School. His first book, “The Lost Years of Joseph Mitchell” (New York Review Books), is forthcoming in February 2027.
